Baby Taylor
Taylor Baby Guitar is a 3/4-scale acoustic guitar.
The difference between all of the Baby Taylor’s is the back, sides, and top of the guitar. Each guitar depending on its name has different wood. For example:
- The Baby Koa has Hawaiian Koa back and sides.
- The Baby Rosewood has Rosewood back and sides.
- The Baby Mahogony has tropical American mahogany.
- The Baby Maple has Big Leaf Maple
- They all have Tropical American Mahogany necks.
This is a great buy for anybody who is learning how to play guitar or for a child that has smaller hands.
The Taylor Baby Guitar is small enough that you can tote it around much easier than a full-scale acoustic guitar. I read about one guy who loved his Baby Taylor because he travels so much and it fits in the the airline overhead bin and can withstand the rigors of travel.
Some people keep it at the office in case they need a break and want to relax a little. ( I think this is better than the ole golf putter!). It would even be good for a student that wants something that still has a quality sound but much easier to carry around.
For a low-cost travel guitar the Baby Taylor sounds way better than I expected. It has a nice resonate and fairly rich sound. However, you can’t compare a 3/4 guitar sound quality with other acoustic guitars as this one serves the specific purposes mentioned above. But I gotta say, this is a nice sounding acoustic guitar.
If you want to get your child started off playing an acoustic guitar that has a great sound go with the The Taylor Baby Guitar He/she will be able to fit their hands around the neck easier and have a great sound to boot!
