I wanted to do this review of the Jasmine by Takamine S34c nex Acoustic Guitarbecause it is the #3 selling acoustic guitar behind it’s sister and #1 selling Jasmine S35 at amazon. I also wanted to know what’s the difference between these two Takamine by Jasmine acoustic guitars. The Takmine s34c is also one of the best selling acoustic guitars on several other sites I checked.
The Takamine S34c has a spruce top which is the most common wood used for acoustic guitar tops. It has nato back and sides (mahogany like), 21-fret mahogany neck, dark-stained rosewood bridge and fretboard, satin finish and covered chrome tuning machines.
The Jasmine 34c is a cutaway acoustic guitar. This is a guitar body style with a contoured upper bout that allows the player to reach the upper frets of the guitar more easily. If you’re just beginning to play acoustic guitar, this probably is not too important as you won’t be playing the upper frets much. But, later on as you start learning scales it is convenient being able to get to those upper frets easier.
Ok, so I wanted to know what is the difference between the Jasmine S35 and the S34c NEX. They’re both roughly the same price.

So you can see except for the cutaway, there’s not much difference in the guitars. The Jasmine S34c NEX has a high gloss finish as compared to the S35. You can see the difference in the video’s below.
Every guitar website I looked at while researching the S34c almost always received 4 or 5 stars.

One of the top selling beginner acoustic guitars is the Yamaha fg700s.
Purchasing the right acoustic guitar is not the easiest thing to do especially if you are buying your first one. I really thinks it’s important to have a good sounding guitar.
The Yamaha Acoustic Guitar FG700S is a very affordable acoustic guitar. It has a solid sitka spruce top, with a rosewood finger board, and die cast tuners.
What is Sitka spruce? If you’re looking at acoustic guitars for the beginner you probably see this term a lot. I found this explanation on the web:

Other deluxe features include a black and white binding that goes all around the guitar, tortoise pickguard and a very nice looking high gloss finish that looks great.
As I said at the beginning of this article it’s one of the best selling beginner acoustic guitars. It ranks number 3 at amazon.com just behind the Jasmine by Takamine S35, and the Takamine S34c.
Out of 38 reviews on amazon.com (at the time of this writing) the Yamaha fg700s dreadnought acoustic guitar has 32 five stars and 4-four stars

So you can see this Yamaha acoustic guitar fg700s is a great beginner acoustic guitar. Or if you travel a lot and don’t want to haul around your best guitar this could be a great extra acoustic guitar.
It appears that the Yamaha fg700s is highly recommended as a good acoustic guitar for a beginner.
